Rehearsing each Wednesday evening, we are a community singing ensemble that aims to foster love of music and make a charitable impact in our region.
Maleny Singers Inc, now comprising nearly 40 singers, was formed in 2003 under the guidance of musical director, Margaret Taylor who, with her late husband Derek Taylor OBE, came to Maleny that year from Tamworth where she had been head of vocal studies at the Tamworth Regional Conservatorium of Music. Margaret started her career as a member of the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company before joining the English National Opera Company with whom she sang twenty five major roles.
